In October 2014 the 7th Airlift Squadron will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary with a Heritage Ball. This will be a celebration of the heritage of a Sq that has participated in operations ranging from supporting Patton in Africa to the first combat personnel drop of the C-17 in Iraq. The 7th Airlift Squadron is located at McChord Field which is part of Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma, WA. Anyone on this forum know of any operating C-47s/C-53s/DC-3s or C-54s that could provide a static display for this event? The goal is to provide some of today's USAF airlift personnel an opportunity to see how we did it in the past.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
