after all the sequestration / budget cuts, etc, the 2014 Cleveland nat. air show is a go this year. the blue angels were just here a few days ago. no other details as of yet. ...... i'm eating to much popcorn lately!!

Oh my...brings back some great memories from 2001. I was there...loved the chance to talk to Bob Odegaard, see him put the Super Corsair through her paces along with Delmar Benjamin in the Gee Bee, several Tuskeegee Airman, B-1 flybys were awesomely LOUD, C-17 put on a nice show...then the Blues at the end of the day did a terrific job. Have several hours of 8mm video from that day. In one part, I was following the Blues in the opposing solo act, one of them veered off to the left, towards downtown Cleveland...I made a comment about how the people in those buildings probably got the crap scared out of them. Weather was perfect, light breezes coming off the lake, big crowd...great day to be alive.

Two days later, September 11th happened and the world was changed forever.
