2009 Catalina Festival, Rathmines NSW Australia

Just a post to let everyone here know that the 2009 Catalina Festival will be held this year on the 24th of October. The date has been pushed back to later in Ocober so as not to clash with the Labor Day long weekend holiday in NSW and to try to ensure better weather for the weekend. Last year's fly in visitors were one Searey and one Cessna 180 floatplane and a flyover by a RAAF Hawk.

I have just been on the phone to one of the organizers and it's hoped to have the 2 airworthy Catalinas do a formation flyover and it's also hoped there will be some other aviation goodies flying over as well. Australian and International visitors will be most welcome. I'll post a reminder closer to the date.
