scott you are pointing into a great direction. pre ww 2 aviation is a woefully neglected time frame. the results will be refreshing & exciting for sure. i am sick & tired of p-51's, me-109's, b-17's & the like as topics in magazines, & forums such as this terrific site.... these topics have been beat into the ground!! it puts me to sleep zzzzz!! these topics have been thoroughly rung out!! lets concentrate on ww 2 japan, italy, air racing aviation, korean war / vietnam etc. the surface has barely been scraped with these areas . i'm no snob, but there is not much more that can be gleaned, other than private veteran accounts. how many more memphis belle / pearl harbor warbird stories can be told?? stories such as this while always historically significant are approaching redundancy!! i understand every body has their area of interest, but you can only whip a plow horse so far. all the best, tom |
