Still working on the Serial number, but the last local number she carried was 9Y-TGY, locals say she has sat for 10 years atleast. Anyone have any more info on her?

yeah i checked on that LOOK and its fresh paint the airport applied so the airport looks good! South Americans....:) J/K

So far, 9Y-TGY seems to have been used by at least three aircraft, this C-47 included:

THis is the answer, she is 9Y-TDY (c/n 19759). I reviewed my pics and the G is a D. The exact same tail numbers and letter are faintly visible still.

Heres the old photo I found, and tomorrow I will take one of the Visible remaining lettering and post it. THe one i took is very wide angle and far from the aircraft.

I don't mind if you use a photo from my website, but please have the courtesy to mention where you found it.
It takes money and a halluva lot of time to maintain a website, especially if you publish pics others contribute because you think people appreciate the fact of sharing.
Activate the brain before you copy/paste it, as it comes close to stealing!
