Tom, you're right.........The war definitely aged these young men far beyond their years.........It amazes me at times to see how young they really were in comparison to how mature they were forced to be.........

good point beachy.... there is a pic of my dad during ww 2 on morotai that is scary, 29 years old, he looks 60, eyes sunk in, emaciated & disheveled. combat fatigue knows no boundaries. glad i was lucky enough not to experience it, but for my old man he chose to & i'm thankful to him & countless other vets of all the wars since the big 1.
