Thanks for posting James,

I'm thinking that might be my favourite P-40 now.....

I want one really bad!

Cheers,

David

P.S. Hey TAdan, you stole the words right out of my mouth when you said "Wow!"

Oh my.

Oh my, oh my, oh my.

I am a confirmed roundmotorhead, but that's very easy on the eyes!

Great photo James. Doesn't the P-40F look lovely!

Would you please be able to post that to the NZ forum thread too please?

Two newly flown P-40's in two days, a good week for the type!

I wonder if they'll add the dapple?

Stunning, and you have to like it simply for the uniqueness of the variant. However, I'm having a hard time liking any P-40 quite as much as Chris Prevost's recently completed bird. His just looks like a P-40 should, IMHO.

Yeeeeeeeeeow. What a sexy bird.

Will it be at Lege **SMACK** :D :D :D :D

Massive congratulations all around to those who worked so hard to return this amazing aircraft to the skies.. the ONLY other thing I would hope to see on her is the Medium Green 42 "scallops" along the wings and tailplane. That's it... that would make it absolutely perfect in every single regard.

I'm off to let a few P-40 fans in on the good news... :)

We sent 'Jeannie' to do that job last year. ;)

It's good times for the P-40 again, with Chris' (ex-Pacific) P-40, the new Kiwi one, for Canada, and Judy's. Quite right too, as an important and often under-rated fighter of W.W.II. It was there for the tough, defensive battles...

Awsome news. Does anyone know whats happening with the weather at Echuca. I know a few aircraft have cancelled due to the predictions. Im keen to drive down from Sydney. Its a long way to be dissapointed.

It is with deep regret that I inform you that the weather forecast for Echuca is basically shi'ite. From the BOM site forecast for Northern Country District.

Forecast for Sunday
Cloudy. The chance of thunderstorms with hail during the morning. Areas of rain, easing to isolated showers and clearing around midday. Winds westerly averaging 30 to 35 km/h decreasing below 20 km/h later in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 7 with daytime temperatures reaching around 16.

Echuca
Early rain. Min7 Max16

It's a longer way to get stuck. :(

As Walrus 7 says, it looks very poor - although it could be worse. Rather annoying we are getting two dud show weekends with this and the Avalon WX, separated by beautiful autumn weather...

Word is that the P-40F is up 'there' now, NOT at Tyabb, so there should be at least one aircraft new to us all on sight - if that's worth it is your call. I've travelled further for less!
