Tom,
Do you have any idea if the scrapped Convair that Kennedy leased is still around? My dad flew that plane, N70Q, to sell one to Kennedy. He also flew a second Convair 240 with Nixon, N94262. Kennedy liked it and bought N240K, which is the "Caroline". I was young, but I remember riding in N70Q for a short flight, I think it was Boston- Hyanis Port- Boston. Sadly, no Marilyn Monroe sightings and dad's log book only show remarks like " John F. Kennedy + 8". The leasing company was Fred Ayer Inc. and they purchased all of American Airlines old Convair 240s. I remember the interiors were converted to be really nice, wood bar that lifted out of the floor, etc. Anyway, it would be interesting to see the old Convair, even if it was just a tube.

it was cut up in 98 or 99. trucked out of wakeman, & then supposedly left abandoned at the side of a road at the indiana ohio border..... that's all i know!!!!
