Anybody know the serial of this Aero Surveys Limited F-5G? Tail says it is CF-JJA but that pulls up a blank.

F-5G, c/n 8209, History: HP-_____, CF-JJA, LV-HIX, fate unknown

So the question is... Does anyone know what happened to this lightning?

I seem to remember someone saying that it had a landing accident while in Argentina. Can't gurantee it though, so if anyone can confirm this it would be great!

P. S. Scott! The unknown P-38s in the registry are:
N62441 44-27183 Now at Yanks Air Museum, Chino.
N69902 44-53180 Crashed in Pittsburgh on Aug. 23, 1957
Also, the two lower photos in the entry for 44-53087 are wrong. The photos show P-38M 44-53097.

I am an R/C Electric flyer always on the lookout for Canadian registered aircraft of interest, and the P-38 has always been right at the top of the interest list for me. Does anyone have pictures or info suggesting the colour scheme and details for the upper and lower wings? Are there any contacts possible from the BC Areo-Survey days? Any assistance would be appreciated.

That ugly orange reminds me of one of the two P-38's that were flying out of Kirtland AFB (ABQ) when I was stationed there in the late 50's. One was orange, the other was brown. Not OD, but UGLY brown. They used to fly together and when they'd get side by side at the end of the runway for their run-up...do I need to describe the sound? It was beautiful. Noisy, but BEE-YU-TEE-FUL.

Mudge the P-38...well...you know

more info on this P-38 - really an F-6G.

There's no such things as an F-6G F-6's were the Tac Recon models of the P-51.... so it's an F-5G (no offense meant - just trying to keep facts straight)
