With all that's going on, thought a look back at some past
Warbird nose art might be a nice diversion. These were all taken pre-digital
on that ancient medium, film.
Lots more changes captured on digital and working on another post with those.

Used to see this Mustang often on the east coast. Flown by race car driver Bob Tullius,
he donated it to the RAF Museum in London

"Nervous Energy V" last I saw, it was as "Luscious Lisa"

P-38 "Marge", I've lost track of where this one is now.

Thank you for sharing these photos, Bill! It brings back a sense of nostalgia for me, especially with the Schlitz girl on the Collings B-24, as that is how I remember it looking back when I was quite young/entering elementary school years and just becoming aware of/interested in warbirds. That is how I last remember seeing "Donna-Mite" as well, around the late 90's. My first trip to Oshkosh was in 2005 and I arrived a couple days after its accident.

The P-38 "Marge" in your photos was owned by Tallichet, and is the same airframe now owned/operated by Fagen Fighters painted as "Scat III" (and "Ruff Stuff" before that).

Yeah, that was my favorite scheme its worn. All the work that went into reproducing that artwork, it was such a shame to see it so short-lived.
