I'm pretty sure that up till now, no Super Hornets have been placed on display.

With the SOME Super Bugs getn long in the tooth, I'm sure sure are a few that'll end up parked somewhere.

Some of the early Super Bugs are knocking on 15+ years old depending upon what "lot" aircraft they came from. I recall in 2002 up in Fallon NADEP having a mini mod shop there to fix the fuel cell cavity floors of Super Bugs right off the production line.

Far as I know.....the Blues are the last of the "legacy" Hornet operators. And those are REALLY old F/A-18C's. They'll be sporting Supers next season. Not sure what Spain or the other NATO Hornet models are still out there.

I believe every foreign operator of the original F/A-18 A-D series is still flying them. Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain and Switzerland. Australia draw down will be coming soon as they bring the E/F/G on line, and some have already been transferred to Canada. Several of those countries have replacement programs/competitions in place (if Canada can ever make up their mind.... ), but think we will be seeing legacy Hornets for some years.

Boeing St. Louis is working a Service Life Extension Program. If inspections find any that are too far gone, those might be candidates for display, but any usable components would be removed.
