That BT-13 has been owned by Don Miller in Edmond, Oklahoma for decades. It is based at Myrick, an airport community in north Edmond. He started the restoration in the mid 1980s at Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City, then moved it to Myrick and got it flying after a tremendous restoration. He won Best Trainer at Oshkosh about five years ago.

Indeed! Mr. Miller received a "Preservation Award" in 2013:
