Hi all,
The Warbirds Resource Group recently took over control of the Forgotten Jets website, a passion project by Nathan Decker who spent 15 years putting together a great deal of information. The new address for the site is now http://forgottenjets.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/
Nathan expanded the site to include props. I will spin that off into a seperate sister site to be named Forgotten Props (clever huh?). In addition I will be collecting information to create an additional sister site to be named Forgotten Rotors (I'm on a roll here with the cleverness). These are as all of the projects on the site long term projects. But I need your help, putting together even just the serial number lists is time consuming, something I have in short supply. So I need help. If you would like to see an aircraft type added to any of these sites, the first step is serial number blocks.

Something like this is very useful:
147864/147867 Grumman YA2F-1 Intruder
148615/148618 Grumman YA2F-1 Intruder
148619/148626 Grumman A2F-1 Intruder

Ahh... But looming on the horizon... Forgotten Props and Forgotten Rotors.... coming.... eventually.

Alas, it still doesn't help in this case. Maybe Forgotten Props because it has more props than jets?

XF-8U-1:

138899: accepted 04Apr56
BAR FA Dallas 04Apr56
R&D Dallas 21Feb57
stricken BAR Dallas 31Jan57

138900: exactly as above; both aircraft show stricken with zero hours: which I'd say indicates zero 'in service' hours.

XA4D-1:

137812: accepted 22Jun54
BAR M&S El Segundo 22Jun54
R&D El Segundo 23Jun54
stricken BuWeps El Segundo RDT&E 11Jan60 with 214 hrs

I have some F9F-9 (F11F-1) info if it would be of use.

Thanks. I will be accepting any and all information on any type, even it's not one of the types covered. I will be expanding the Forgotten Jets site as time permits.

Hi Scott,

You got so many projects! I'd seriously consider making us pay a yearly subscription so you can quit your day job and make this your full time job. :D

Doing this full time is the dream. However, I can't see myself making it a mandatory subscription. If people want to support the site the can do so voluntarily (info in signature) :)
