After reading about the recovery of this airframe, I decided to build a model of the plane to see what it might look like after restoration. I built this a while back, using the Hasegawa kit and decals I made on a ALPS printer. and sent pictures to the crew restoring it.

The second aircraft on this sheet is also a camouflaged aircraft, and also finished in RAF colors. This is Lt. Frank Oiler’s “Eileen” from the 84th FS, 78th FG. This P-47 is Dark Green above and RAF Sky on the undersurfaces.

I think that’s an amazing work you have done. I really appreciate it man. Is it a working model? We used to prepare small models at our labs as a part of the project and assignment. I guess you can share the measurements with us, which is more helpful.

Thanks
