This topic was quite popular on another forum a few years ago(it was like a 56 page thread  ). So I figured I'd set one up here on WIX. :D So, what airplane did you see flying today? It can be any type of plane...airliner, warbird, civil. I'll try and keep a camera at the ready. Also don't be shy to include other information like where it might have took off from or where its heading, what company, what kind of markings and paint did it have, and or take pictures, etc. Lets try and get interested in this "airplane spotting" thread.

So with that.......last Saturday I was in Elmira NY and I spotted a Blackhawk heading east about 1000'.

Cheers,
Nathan :D

I live under the extend west side base leg approach to Phx Sky Harbor, one of the busiest airports in the nations, and 5 miles from the Glendale airport and 7 miles from Goodyear airport, are you sure you want to hear from me ?

Most exciting (and almost the only one) I've seen today was an RJ going into CHS. I live about 20 miles from the airport, and see very little.

I saw an AN-124 which I believe was going in to SeaTac a month or so ago. Sadly I didn't have my camera as I could've had a shot of it with the Space Needle in the foreground.

Low altitude USCG C-130 Herc (they are white and safety orange) Not real unique here, I am under their flight path into Clearwater Air Station.

I see this sucker about twice a day. We are in the base leg of Martinsburg, WV airport. The 167th Airlift Wing of the WVANG flies them.

I've not seen anything today, but I've heard plenty of 737's in and out of DAL so far today.
