The nose art on this FG-1D Corsair is not the "Dragon Lady" but Miss Lace who was a cartoon character from Milton Caniff's WWII comic strip MALE CALL. The pilot shown is my Dad, then LT Don Wilson, when he was assigned to VMF-122 on Peleliu 1945.
