VX-6 started by flying C-121 super CONNIES into Mc Murdo :shock: in fact PEGASUS is still there due to a landing accident.

The Smithsonian Channel has had a show on Sunday nights lately called Mighty Planes and one of the episodes focused on the C-130 Skibirds of the NYANG. In the north hemisphere summer season, they go to the north polar areas and when that ends they head south to Antarctica for that season.
