A thread was just locked because the MOD was 'tired of all the whining'. Odd that 'all the whining' was essentially forum members who were defending the current direction of the entire forum against a very seldom posting member who walked in the front room and proceeded to sling a puctured sack of stinky personal vitriol at arms length over his head hitting everyone in the room. I viewed the posting as having a stranger walk up behind your Grannie and puking on her head.
Yet, I also notice that I can still check in on serial SPAMMING about 'low cost kitchens in Birmingham' that's been tagged for over a month as SPAM.
Perhaps the MODS should sweep the floor before they start yelling at others about a dirty glass. If you aren't permitted to defend within reason, and justify your position then whats left for you?

I personally didn't see anything wrong with that thread. It contained lots of constructive citicism in my opinion. Some threads also drift a little off topic but then drift back.

Think of it like landing a taildragger. Sometimes you swing to the left or the right and with some judicious pressure on the rudder pedals you keep on the runway. The moderators (instructor) need to step in when control has been lost and a groundloop is immenent.

I thought locking that thread was too heavy-handed. This site is only as good as the contributions of the users. There should be some room for the users to establish some groundrules and offer some opinions to facilitate discussion about how to make the site successful. Some of it may come off as whiny, but everyone sends and receives information a little bit differently. Otherwise this site should be fully moderated where you can't make a post unless the moderator approves it first.

I'm waiting for this thread to be locked now too.
