Now that it's clear 'em out' time at the car stores we've got a whole different set of background music in the car commercials. NISSAN has started using a 'GREASE-ish' type music (GAKKK! Can't stand either the movie, it makes my cavities ache, or Olivia Neutron Bomb).
HONDA, on the other hand is using Judas Priest's 'You've got another think coming'
HONDA has used JP as music in commercials before, I've adapted to hearing music from when I was younger as background music at the store (and half expect to hear STEPPENWOLF doing 'The Pusher' soon while cruising the produce aisles), and find myself getting mildly irritated if they interrupt a song I haven't heard in years for some P.A. announcement by a 19 year old kid who deep throats the microphone and thinks he/she needs to yell into the mic. I freely admit to being an old metalhead, tough choice in the JEEP sometimes, Dylans 'Hwy 61' or SCORPIONS.
I also read that Dee Snyder has told a certain politician to stop using 'We're not gonna take it', kinda like HEART did a few years ago with another politico and their song 'Barracuda'.
