Price..

For the power it produces, the F-1 was cheaper than a similar Turbo set up.. Engine is capable of close to 30# of boost. Right now, with the biggest pulley available installed it's producing about 16 lbs and put down 650 hp to the rear wheels on the dyno. Have the 3" pulley to produce more boost but really don't need it at this time.

About the same price, BUT, that's a baby Whipple (2.3 ?), so the F-1 will outpower it. Son has a 3.4 Whipple on his 03 Cobra..MEAN!!! Whipple weighs in around 80lbs, where the F-1 is around 40 lbs.
Google Stevie "Fast" Jackson, aka Killntime racing to see what the F Series Pro Chargers are doing..

Production of the Mustang began in Dearborn, Michigan on March 9, 1964 and the car was introduced to the public on April 17, 1964 at the New York World's Fair. It is Ford's third oldest nameplate currently in production. Original sales forecasts projected less than 100,000 units for the first year. This mark was surpassed in three months from rollout. Another 318,000 would be sold during the model year (a record), and in its first eighteen months, more than one million Mustangs were built.
