I figured some of you pro/advanced photographers out there could recomment types of gear useful for airshows.... lens, tripods, bags etc... Spread the knowledge you gained the hard way :)

The only thing that I can add that hasn't been mentioned earlier is that when buying a camera bag check out the used camera equipment stores first. You will find something that will suit you just fine there and won't cost you a forture. The same goes for 35 mm equipment as digital really isn't in the used camera stores yet.
