For those refugees from the Flypast forum, especially those that lurk on the General Aviation Forum, you may be interested to know that Channel 5 on Thrusday 2nd is showing the Michael Caine/Steve Martin film "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" at 8pm.

This is the film that features Ruprecht. If you have not seen it and have ever wondered where that name came from then watch and learn.

It is a fun film too.

I liked the original movie with David Niven and Marlon Brando also.

Not seen that. David Niven actually ended his days not that far from where the Caine/Martin one was filmed.

Steve Martin's Ruprecht is a masterpiece. ("can I go to the bathroom?")

Janie is not Ruprecht.

And Scott, if you only knew who we were referring to you would find it even funnier!

Sadly with Flypast down you can't go look but I am sure someone will bring you up to speed!

I suspect that the new Ruprecht may not be the same person as the old one. I think someone's taken the opportunity to ride on the weaver badwaggon.
