Provenance...note the handwritten study stuff.

I think when I opened this it had been pretty much undisturbed since 1945.

Best guess: the maintenance crewman was working up on A-26 or B-26 aircraft when the war ended.

I've lived "too long" and I'm going to have to sell this stuff.

The photos on flickr.com are best viewed by signing in with any Yahoo i.d. One can then navigate, search, magnify, and see all the details and captions and so on.

Never saw that sort of web pouch/envelope that I remember, especially with that kind of red stencil. And I've collected militaria for over five decades.

Any ideas or estimates?

It's the engine and propeller manuals that involve the R-2800 that bring me down to the B-26 and A-26.

Yes, the USAAF used some other multi-engined stuff with those big round engines, but the other guide/manual involves medium bombers.

Note there's some handwritten stuff in here, too, which gives it provenance.
