I bought a WW2 era Lycoming O-145-B2 engine at a farm auction and want to get it running. I could use a gasket set and repair and parts manuals. Fortunately, it came with both magnetos and the carb. the engine mount was broken, so it is probable the engine suffered crash damage. It is currently stuck but I dumped diesel fuel in the cylinders to encourage it to break loose.

I pulled the heads off the Lycoming 0-145 engine and cleaned the cylinder bores with a cylinder hone. The crank now turns over. Rather than ruin a usable antique aero engine by trying to make it run, I would rather sell it. The engine is WW2 or early post war vintage. It was used on Piper J-3 Cubs and Mooney Mites.
I have washed the engine inside and out and will put it back togather. I did not clean the oil passages or the oil pump.
thanks
