Lycoming R680, 9 cylinder radial. engine is stuck from sitting too long. the piston rings have rusted to the cylinders. I do not know the condition of the rods and flywheel. Engine comes with valve covers & clips, pushrods & pushrod tubes, aluminum intake tubes, 7 or 8 exhaust pipes, exhaust ring, two ignition harnesses and propellor hub. the accessory case is gone. comes with an engine stand.

Also a Continental Radial core with four cylinders. comes with rods, flywheel, accessory case. no front case or propellor shaft.

$1500 for both or $1000 for the Lycoming and $500 for the Continental.

I have a deposit on the R680 so it may be sold. we shall see, but the Continental is still available.

Hello. This is Bob DoBel in San Carlos CA. Do you still have the Lycoming 680?
If you do, please give me a call.
Thanks,

Haven't bought anything from Jim recently, but he is fair, honest in his description, packs things well and is always a pleasure to deal with!

I need help determining the condition and value of a Lycoming R680-17 engine that is sitting in what is left of my parents barn. It has been stored in the back for about 40 years and was fairly protected until Hurricane Harvey hit. Most of the barn was destroyed except for the part the engine was in. The engine is located in Woodsboro, Texas. My dad was a Glider Pilot with 1st air Commando Group, Burma Invasion Force and has passed away so he cannot tell me anything about it. My mother says a friend or his who has also passed, dropped it off and never came back for it. I have contacted his son and he said get rid of it. So, can anyone suggest a knowledgeable person in this area or direct me? The barn is not in good condition and I am worried that the weather will ruin it. I can text pictures. Also, it is on a stand and when we moved it under cover I noticed that one of the hoses was so dry rotted that it broke and oil came out. Thank you for your help.
