Maybe I shouldn't have commented lol just trying to help.
Anyway this has gotten out of control abit. But I have learnt alot about the Airacobra and ww2 aircraft production in general so thats good. I propose a ceasefire, I mena we are all working towards the same goal right? Preserving these beautiful aircraft no matter what they are made of lol.
:)

Btw how are you 39's coming along fiftycal?
Is airworthy the eventual goal?

Kerman my goal is to rebuild several to airworthy and several static, the only thing keeping them all from being rebuilt to fly is lack of parts like flap, lg gearboxes, seats etc, i only have enough parts for three at this stage.

That will keep you occupied for awhile lol good luck. If only 39 parts were as common as 51 parts.

Gunsight sighting head made by Bell for the P-39 (part number 15-741-287).

Would anyone have a scan of the parts manual dealing with the gunsight and it's installation?
