There is A LOT to like about the movie. The cinematography is beautiful. The story is facinating. The attempt to be historicallly correct great. I watched this movie in awe when I saw it at the theater. Russel Crowe was a great choice for the lead. The support actors, also great. I would place this movie as a classic, a must see for history buffslike myself. The opening sequence, the Roman Army in the woods, just great. The recreation of the coliseum and it's many uses, wow. I can't find anything about this movie to compain about. Five stars out of five.
