Movie Review: The Patriot

Mon Apr 10, 2017 6:12 pm

Movies about the American revolution are few and far between, for instance, no one has done a movie about George Washington ( long overdue). This movie attempts to bring the revolution tomthe forefront. Near the beginning of the movie, a teenage boy is needlessly murdered by British troops. His father, played by Mel Gibson, takes up a hatchet and joinsvthe revolution. The movie tries, weakly, to tell the story of the revolution. For a better tellling of the revolution, I suggest watching Liberty's Kids. This movie is more senseless Mel Gibson violence than anything else. One star out of five.
