When I was a kid, war movies were feel good pieces, after all, my country had conquered the world. I didn't see this movie until my late 40's. The movie is about the opening days of WW2 for the US in the Phillipines. The US was gettting it's butt kicked by Japan. The PT boats were pretty much the bulk of the US Navy in the Phillipines, but there was trouble of every kind-supplies, food, lack of command, etc. In the end, the PT boats got dugout Doug from the Phillipines to Australia. This isn'tba feel good movie, but it pretty much telllsbthe story of the PT boats. For historical purposes only, I give it four stars out of five.
