This movie is based on the book by Alister McLean. As war movies go, it's 100% fiction, so suspend your disbelief at the door. The movie starts with avquick run through of The Guns of Navarone, a 2 and a half hour movie about a British commando team penetrating a big rock in the Agean sea to take out some huge batttleship sized guns. From that mission, there are two survivors, Major Mallory and Corporal Miller. Force 10 picks up a year later. The major is now a food service offficer on a commando base and the Corporal is now a civilian sellling sophisticated explosives. Welll, the duo is presssed back into service and asssigned to a U.S. Army ranger team headed up by a Colonel played by Harrison Ford (after his big break role in the first Star Wars movie). The movie never lags and there are some very goood performances by these and the other actors in the movie (including CarlWeathers of Rocky fame and Barbara Bach-Mrs. Ringo Starrr). I give the movie four stars out of five.
