since there are so many B-17's and the B-17 Registry is currenly undergoing overhaul, I figure that this a/c desrves its own section.

I was down in Tulare, CA again last week, and made my annual pilgrimage to check on Preston's Pride. I must say that the aircraft is looking much better, and it is now receiving regular maintenance and cleaning. The local group has even hooked the lights back up which made for a dramatic shot one evening:

It is great to see this old bird getting attention, the volunteers I spoke with were very enthusiastic and are doing the best with what they have (and are NOT affiliated with the AMVETS group)-- kudos for taking the initiative to keeping this old bird up...
