Hi does anyone know if the B-17B that was crash landed out in Kelso, California sand dunes on military or restricted property during the early 40s recovered i was told buy at santa paula guy named rick that was a mechanic there around 94 that he had seen the wings sticking out of the dunes while driving his dune buggy on restricted property, buy chance later he went to a store near buy that had photos of the crash landing and seem to be intact. the store has been since been torn down ? . i just drove buy kelso on my way back from Arizona after going to Pima and thought i had better post something . james w

If the B-17B is still around, it would be the oldest surviving Fortress!
