I was just looking through the P-51 registry and found a couple of errors in the photos of the following entries.

http://www.warbirdregistry.org/p51regis ... 72934.html
The photos does not show XB-HVL, but rather 45-11553 N51VF. The clues are the invasion stripes which HVL has never sported. The serial # digits on the rudder are white on HVL, while 51VF has all- over black digits. Also the shot of the instrument panel doesn't show a Pioneer Aero Service cockpit at all. They were configured as follows: http://crazyhorseap.be/Mustangs/Mustang ... tor002.jpg
If interested, you can have this photo of 44-72934 for the registry: http://www.mustangsmustangs.com/p-51/p5 ... es/320.jpg

http://www.warbirdregistry.org/p51regis ... 63542.html
The photo is not showing N51HR but rather Dave Marco's 44-74458 N351DM. For some reason that Mustang is not even included in the registry. It can be found at Mustangsmustangs.com here: http://www.mustangsmustangs.com/p-51/su ... l/44-74458

Yes, DeMarco's plane was the former John Marlin "Daydreamer."

Mustangs are incredibly difficult to track. I'm pretty sure they used the dataplates as poker chips in the 70s :|

I'll make of this and try and clarify it one the next Mustang registry update.
