AirBoss,
I am on the West side of Phx, and Chad is on this side of town as well. Chris is on the east side. I work with Hans and trying to put together a new museum at the Glendale airport. He has a large collection of planes. Chris is with the CAF at Falcon Flield in Mesa.
Your getting here at a good time, we finally got above 110 and all the snowbirds are finally gone.

Well Matt,

We will be living in the Anthem area up by Ben Avery range.
But I'll be working down at Sky Harbor in the TRACON....

Hope to meet you once we've settled in.

Don

Welcome to the area Don. Anthem is a beautiful place to live but the commute to Sky Harbour may not be so much fun! We really should all get together at some point and put faces to names.

I guess I should chip in too. Matt and Chad hit the nail on the head> It's HOT and the trip between Anthem and Sky Harbor will drive you nuts. I must tell you that Arizona leads the nation in tearing up roads for no reason whatsoever. Interstate 17 is always being worked on. As far as aircraft goes, Hans Lauretsen it putting together a very nice collection and Matt is having a wonderful time babysitting all his aircraft. Right Matt? We have a pretty good collection in Mesa at the CAF but our B-17 "Sentimental Journey" is about to go out her Summer tour. Up North, the Planes of Fame has their museum at Valle airport north of Flagstaff and at the other end of the state is the Pima Air Museum. Remember, nothing corrodes in Arizona. It might melt. but it won't corrode. Welcome to our neck of the woods.

Im not sure whats in PHX but I know that Pima Air Museum in there in Tucson. I was there a year or so ago...and they are really coming along with some of the indoor displays of the WWII aircraft. Also there is the 390th BG Museum located on the grounds of PASM.
