This should put another Tempest airframe into the air, albeit with a R-2800. That is still a huge achievement! 8)

I was able to see this Tempest last February.
Impressive beast for sure.
Good question BDK. I don't know the answer.
I'm also curious what the prop is from. Corsair -4 or -5 maybe.
Imagine her in formation with Typhoon JP843. Very cool.

The prop it uses is from a DC-7.

Having followed this aircraft/project for many years, as it moved around the world with different owners and restoration efforts, it's exciting to see it so close to finally being completed and flying. An excellent choice of paint scheme too, managed by Warbird Colour (who also led the paint work on the UK-based Graham Peacock Tempest).

Thanks for the kind words and the plug John. We are looking forward to more Hawker projects in the future and have recently been in contact with the Canadian Typhoon group with a view to collaborating with them on the painting and detailing of JP843.

Steve that's excellent news.
The Typhoon Legacy team is doing amazing things with the JP843 project.
Hearing about collaboration regarding rare, similar types just seems to make so much sense for all.
I saw MW376 up close last February. She is gorgeous.

Great news Steve! And also great to see MW376 running at last. More power to them!
