In New Zealand we have a few up and coming:

- two Achim Engels-built Fokker E.III reproductions: one at Omaka (which was formerly flying with TAVAS in Australia) has had several engine runs; and another with TVAL at Masterton has recently been registered
- a Fokker D.VIII which was also part of TAVAS' fleet, again at Omaka
- Lockheed 10a s/n1145
- Jerry Yagen's Curtiss Hawk 75A-6 CU-554 (Finland) may be next up for Avspecs after the Mosquito as her wing was recently completed by Precision Airmotive in Australia
- Curtiss P-40E 41-36018/ET664/White 25 (VVS) for a Dutch group may fly in 2024 from Pioneer, who are also working on Jerry Yagen's SBD
- TBM-3E Bu91110/ZK-TBE should fly again with a new engine after a long period on the ground
- Folland Gnat XR987 may be late in the year, more likely 2025
ErrolC may be able to add a few?

Is this 44-72145?

Boeing 707-138 N707JT should be airworthy and flown back to Australia in 2024. Currently in the US under maintenance.

Be very nice if she routed eastwards and stopped off in the UK! Love to see and hear a 707 again.

I am wondering about the Navy Wings Sea Fury, which when I visited Yeovilton in June was being prepared to be converted to a P&W engine. Is that expected to fly again in 2024?

And how about the two BBMF PR.XIX Spitfires which have both been out of the air for some years, and under rebuild. At least one of them must be going to fly again soon?

Heard one of the BBMF Spitfire XIXs beating up Kenley during the late summer last year. Or was it 2021? Seems like yesterday... I was about five miles away, sound was unmistakeable and there it was on ADSB!

Edit: it was PM631 and in August 2021...

The Kestrel for our Hawker Fury biplane project (ex George Neal's) is enroute back from England. We'll have it mounted and running in 2024. Probably flying in 2025.

It was announced last summer by the UK group Navy Wings (see Dave Homewoods post above) that Fairey Gannet T5 XT752 (now N752XT), will travel from Wisconsin to Washington for "servicing" before return to the UK.

An interesting airframe, it was the last Gannet in use by the Royal Navy and is likely the last potentially airworthy example.

The initial news release said it would be serviced but gave no details on what that would entail.
It hasn't flown for several years, so it might turn out to be more than just topping off the fluids.

The work will be done in Spokane by John Sessions' organization. The aircraft is currently registered to a Sessions firm.

Canberra USA is continuing the restoration on our Canberra B.6. We currently have 6 squawks to fix and she will be airworthy again.
