Wonder why they're selling it.

Looks like they are also selling their Mig-15UTI, Mig-17, Mig-21 & TS-11Iskra...

...and their S2F Tracker and A-7 Corsair.

Common theme: Cold War era?

The F-104 link is already dead and it is not listed on their website.I

But some other observations...
$6.9 million for a new Mosquito seems reasonable.

With an asking price of $4 million for a basically new P-51D or TF-51 (buyer's choice), it makes me wonder what the price is for the further along but similarly new P-51C project which is listed as POR?
What kind of premium does a B/C bring?

If I'm reading this right, Cavanaugh Flight Museum has to find a new home???

This set, together with the F-104, S2F and A-7, comprises most of the 'bunch' of airframes parked outside in between their hangars. All are static, most are engineless and they did not (during my visits in 2018 and 2019) appear to be the focus of the collection. With an impending move, selling this lot raises some cash and decreases the burden of having to dismantle and move airframes over the ground. Speculation on my side... but it could be part of the reasoning.

Slide 5 has the following wording:

Cavanaugh Flight Museum in
Need of Purpose-built Facility
on 10-15 Acres of Land

Is that expected to be at Addison or elsewhere?

That would be expensive in the DFW area.
Are they committed to remaining in the metropolitan area?

Always enjoyed going to that museum. Excellent collection including that war vet B-25. Also noticed on their site that there is no mention of rides anywhere. I got to ride in their Stearman and we paid for an SNJ ride for my dad there too. They also played a big part in getting Fifi back in the air if my memory serves me right.

Correct, Jim Cavanaugh funded the re-engine of FIFI and is arguably the reason the aircraft is still in the air.
