Anyone know what happened to the aafo website? Navigating to the domain gets you a page that says aafo.com has expired, and there are ads for orthotics, cosmetic dentistry, and penile implants. I know Wayne has been having health issues and just hoping this is not a sign of bad news. Maybe the monthly/yearly fee wasn't paid??
Thanks

I'm not familiar with the website, so I had to look it up. For anyone else in the same situation, AAFO stands for "All Aviation Flightline Online" and it is apparently focused on the Reno Air Races.

As for what happened to it, the last time it was archived by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine was on 7 October 2022. At that time, the most recent content on the homepage mentioned the 2019 air races, so it appears to have been dormant since then.

If it really is offline, there's still the Society of Air Racing Historians.

I had the same issue. It worked fine at 1AM this morning. Someone appears to have hacked the site and is redirecting you to the other site. The AAFO blog is very active with new posts almost everyday. The site that you are currently getting sent to has a different web address.

WIXer Blackbirdfan is the new moderator over at AAFO, I'm sure he'll be along with the answers.

I have no answers.... I need to call Wayne and see what is going on. Currently at work and have no cell service here.

I just see a blank white screen. I was going to try and upload a bunch more pics from Reno this morning, but no dice.

Looks like Wayne got things back under control.

It's still off here, at 9 PM Thursday. I really don't need penile implants...

How about an extended car warranty?

Very odd. It seems to be working fine for me. I uploaded a bunch of pics as well.

Well I want to see them, but the message board is still not accessible up here. I get the main page fine, but clicking on the message board gets me to those implants again...

Seems empty til you notice all the illegal lookieloos at the base of pylon 6 there. The Air Race association had no control of the land back there at that time, and things were getting dangerous out there. Eventually they were able to fence off and patrol the area and make things better, but for a while it was the wild west out there at the back of the race course.

I just clicked the link and it took me right there. I'm south of the (Canadian) border though. I don't think I had been to the AAFO site in years. Maybe a "cookie" problem?

I did eventually get through and all is working well now. I do suspect that being up here in Canuckia was part of my particular problem. And Thanks to Zac -- I first got in through his link, and then things worked fine. I do find all this computer stuff pretty confusing...
