Just found out a few minutes ago that the B-17 Flying Fortress "Texas Raiders" and a P-63F King Cobra collided at an airshow in Texas.
Thoughts and prayers go out to those involved and their families as well as those in the Warbird Community as a whole. You have my condolences.

Also, I will be merging all related threads with this one.

Video is out there but very distressing. Undoubtedly a total loss of crews and aircraft.

I concur, seeing the video is how I found out about the incident. Thought it was DCS combat at first before realizing it was all too real.

My condolences to the crews and all effected. We saw Raiders giving rides over Waxahachie just this morning.

I posted this on the facebook group and the same applies here:

Today several members of the warbird community died in a horrific accident in Texas. I ask that all comments about this incident be respectful and criticism be kept to a minimum. Speculation always occurs in these events but lets respect the families and friends of these aviators and keep the opinions to ourselves and let the FAA due it's job. There will be time for discussion in the future.

It was in the news that a P-63 collided with a B-17 at the CAF Homecoming Airsho at the Dallas HQ. A reliable source tells me it was Texas Raiders and the silver CAF P-63F, both based in the Houston area. Judging from what I saw in the video, nobody probably survived. Reports have said there were five souls on Raiders and the P-63 is a single-pilot aircraft.

Also be VERY careful with some of the raw news chopper and drone feeds, there is sensitive content.

It is extremely sad to have woken up to this news, and sickening to have seen the videos. My thoughts the aircrew who were killed, and their families, friends and support teams. I am also thinking of the airshow organisers and the audience who witnessed this tragedy.
