Any AOPA members or GA pilots here?
The AOPA is having one of its fly-in "Hangouts" at Spokane's Felts Field.
What might make it interesting to WIXers, is it is being help at the Historic Flight Foundation's museum/hangar.
https://www.aopa.org/community/2022/hangouts/spokaneFelts has always been a hot spot for Antiques (thanks to the Pembertons, Larry Tobin, the late Skeeter Carlson and Larry Howard and many others), but since the HFF relocated to Spokane from Everett, there is a growing warbird presence.
In addition to the museum's P-51B, Spitfire, B-25, T-6, L-4, PT-17, USAF marked Beaver, and C-47B/DC-3, there is also a very nice pair of T-28s (A & B) on the field, as well as the Pemberton's USN Goose and almost finished N3N.
Hopefully, some of the AOPA members will bring warbirds.
But even without warbirds, the many antiques, some of them very rare, are a good excuse to visit the field.
Man cannot live in warbirds alone.
Among the scheduled events are warbird fly-overs (by who, other than HFF, I don't know) water bombing demos (there are CL-415, Fire Bosses and 146/AVRO RJs locally,) and STOL demos...we are just down the road from the Kodiak factory.
So, if you are in the region and looking for something to do, stop by.
