Thunderbolts remain on the harder side of the restoration spectrum, but are slowly moving over to the center as time goes on with fabrication practices increasing in various shops. Aircorps or Pacific Fighters or Fighter Rebuilders could tackle this behemoth of a project, where 30 years ago, I'd say you were $hit out of luck. Exciting to see what this project will turn into. Hopefully a flier, but it would be neat to see it turn into a factory display diorama at Cradle of Aviation, or American Airpower in Farmingdale, or Evansville. Wait... did I just say that?!

Rob Greinert/Historic Aircraft Restorations Limited has(had?) three examples under restoration in Australia, long-term projects alongside a P-38 or three.
