Some fantastic news today, courtesy of the EAA website:

Military Aviation Museum are taking the Mosquito, Corsair, P-40 and P-51 to Oshkosh! :D

The WOTN Air Expo attendance list has been a fairly accurate indicator of additional Oshkosh warbird attendees, especially those that travel some distance to get there.

It's neat to see that the CAF's SBD and P-63F have been added to the list.

YAM has already indicated that C-47 "Hairless Joe" will be at KOSH (at least for part of the week).

Digressing, I also did not realize until recently that the Lewis F4F-3 was being displayed at the EAA Museum and should still be in Wisconsin at the end of July.

Few more additions:

-USN Growlers that were announced back in December have been replaced by the USN F-35C Demo Team.
-USN E-2 Demo Team.
-A-26 “Silver Dragon” self confirmed too. They’re also adding weapon racks underneath the wings too so that will look fantastic.
-VWoC Hurricane.

Not bad!

Mentioned on a webinar last night that the Me109G finished in Illinois should be at AirVenture.

Aircorps Aviation P-47D, destined for DTAM, is hoping to be there also.

‘Flight of the Cats’ confirmed with Tigercat, Bearcat, Wildcat and Hellcat. The Tigercat and Wildcat, I think, are from Rod Lewis’ collection and the Hellcat should be from Fagen. No clue on the Bearcat.

MiG-29 should be appearing also on static and displaying throughout the week.

Maybe the Tom Wood's family Bearcat or John O'Connor's Blue Angel Bearcat...

Plus;
-B-17 Aluminum Overcast if repairs completed will be there. He didn't sound that optimistic.
-Kermit Weeks new A-26 restoration
-F-86F new restoration, Doug Matthews
-F-100 Cutshall
-JN-4 Jenny new restoration
-Mig-17, Randy Ball
-U2 - flying and ground display
-Military demo teams - F-35A, F-35C, Growler, MV-22 and E-2D
-USAF 75th anniv. C-5, C-17, F-16, KC-46, T-38
-UH-60 Blackhawk, HH-60 Pavehawk, MH-47 Chinook, AH-6 Little Bird
-Class of 45, Hawker Sea Fury (Vasquez), Jet Waco, Red Bull Air Force, etc....

Not mentioned but both B-29s will be in the area, Fifi in Appleton Jul 26-27 and Doc the whole week at AV. It'd be a shame not to fly them together again.

Wow! This is going to be an awesome year. I've never seen a F3F. It will be nice to see the old Air Zoo Tigercat again as well, which was a huge part of why I became interested in warbirds.

Keeping my fingers crossed that ALL of those craft come...would be AMAZING!

Any announcements on what days the big warbird shows will be?

Been wanting to see De Chrome Cat for years, looks like it's going to be a great year this year.

Perhaps CAF's SB2C (will be in the Twin Cities on 7/24)...?

D-Day Squadron announcing (via Facebook) their intention on sending 7 C-47's with 6 of them displaying.

Looking like this year could be an instant classic for warbirds!
