I don't recall anyone with a decent knowledge of 8th AF operations ever calling it a piece of cake.

One more of those UK produced "popular" (meant for more casual enthusiasts) features, often seen as cards for folders.

I wonder if they will do a similar piece on the RAF bomber command outlining their heavy losses and outlining the German civilian losses and the psychology stresses on the airmen.

I doubt it.

IMHO, the Brits love to point out the failings of the Americand, but much less so to look at their own bomber offensive which was specify designed to inflict civil casualties and suffering with area bombing of cities.
