Having read of the loss rate of aircraft used for ground attack, I'm also amazed at the number of (not just wing replacements) aircraft with painted out D-Day stripes on the wings so long after June 6. Truly some good luck mojo there.

Upper left corner there are 4 P-47's not 3. Look closely and you'll see an OD P-47.
