It is with a heavy heart that I must share the news the long-time WIX member Eric Dumigan has passed. Eric was one of finest gentlemen I have ever known. He was generous to a fault and always there to help. He helped introduce me into the warbird community and had been my friend for two decades. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Bernie, his wife, who has always been the perfect partner for Eric and is a wonderful person in her own right (she even taught me how to hug correctly... heart to heart)

I will miss Eric.

Very sorry to hear this. Eric was a great photographer. I'm sitting here looking at my Airplane-A-Day calendar, and he shot today's picture. His legacy will live on through his superb pictures!

Oh no....so sad...Sorry to hear for your lost Scott.

Eric was a great guy. He always exchanged freely his love and passion of aviation and photography.

For those who are curious about his life work and his contribution to vintage aviation photography: https://www.airic.ca/

Sincerely.

I'm sure we were at the same Geneseo airshows at the same time, but we never met. (I only became aware of his photos after I'd moved away.)
He was a fine photographer... and apparently a fine human as well. I'm sorry that he's gone, and would like to extend my condolences to his family and friends.

The list of finer people than Eric, is very short indeed.
I've been fortunate enough to call him friend for a long time.
I'm shocked, stunned and so very saddened by this loss to our community. My condolences to Bernie.
Blue skies and tailwinds Airic. One of humanities finest.

It's sad to see someone so young, talented, and nice leave us way too soon. Tailwinds Sir!

Wow, this hurts to hear this news.

Eric was a great guy and I will miss him. I wish it had had been so long sense we shared stories over beers late into the might at Geneseo.

I will post some pictures when I get them resized.

Tim

Thanks Tim. This took the wind right out of my sails when I heard the news. Since Bernedate posted it underneath Eric's FB page, I thought at first she was the one who passed, not Eric. Upon my second (slower) pass at reading the post, did I realize one of our own was gone. So very heartbreaking. Blue Skies my friend.
