Ah, Planes of Fame's P-38 N29Q together with the Olds. Probably shot at Chino towards the south where the Douglas hangars were later erected. Any old Chino hands who can confirm that notion?

Two Florida Highway Patrol vehicles are posed in front of an F-22 Raptor at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, June 14, 2021. The FHP shares concurrent jurisdiction with the 325th Security Forces Squadron as they work closely to maintain integrated defense along U.S. Highway 98. Looks like a 57 Buick Special after some Googling. Love the steel wheels!

Lockheed hangars were built on the southeast corner of the airport. There was a pad on the northeast quadrant of the airport near the approach end of 21. Might have been taken there. Aero Engines used to run in their overhauls on that pad. They had a stakebed truck with a run-stand built on the back.

The P-38 wasn't flyable then, so it had to be Chino.

Close - Definitely a '56 Special. Wonder if it's still around, refitted with an Izusu diesel, hauling tourists around Havana? There's one surviving ex-Cubana Connie; L1049E CU-P573 now at Dover painted/modified as a C-121C per conniesurvivors.com.

Mustang/Mustang. I've owned 3 Mustangs in my life, including the 2013 GT I've had for 8 years. Got a thing for Mustangs. But no, this one isn't mine. I've also got over 150 decals for Mustang models just in 1/48th scale.

I wonder if this one dropped any cars at the Reno Air Races back then?
