Does anyone know if the Olympic Flight Museum in Olympia, WA is going forward with their air show this coming Father's Day weekend?
The museum has been shuttered since the state went into it's lockdown and the website site say nothing about an airshow this year (their Facebook hasn't bene updated for a year). They cancelled last year's air show but a couple of people I know swear "some version" of it is going through anyway this year.

We are trying very hard to have the show, or at least a drive in version. The current environment of the state is making it very hard to do. We will have a decision soon.

If it's a drive in version, then that answers the question for me, as that'd mean our living history group (and any other groups putting on displays people would normally walk up to look at) wouldn't be showing up.

Yeah, there's no escaping that. Frankly, I don't get how other big air shows are proceeding this year elsewhere, but we all know this varies wildly from state to state.quote="Brad"]We will have a decision soon.[/quote]Good to know, as it'd have to happen very soon if they're looking to book aircraft.
I've been to every single airshow (even the one held on the other side of the airport) that OFM even put on. I attended the very first as a spectator, as I'd just gotten out of the field at Ft Lewis the day before and wearing a WW2 uniform the next day held no appeal for me at that time. After that, I've had my displays and Jeep at each one.

The Olympia Airshow is officially canceled this year. We tried to make it work with a drive in show but the states requirements made it impossible to do anything.

I'm very sorry (though not too surprised) to hear that.
