Several warbird museums and organizations are participating in flyovers, or in some cases just happening to put out the word about maintenance flights that coincidentally are taking place over populated areas, in honor of (or with no particular connection to) the Canadian and US national holidays this week. Many of these are being mentioned only in social media. What flights do you guys know about? Here are a few that I have seen, to start us off. I learned of these on Instagram.
Today, Canada Day, I know of the following:
CWH Lancaster to fly from Hamilton to fly over Niagara Falls and downtown Toronto.
Waterloo Warbirds T-33, MiG-15, L-29 to fly from London to Cambridge and Galt.
On July 4:
CAF has organized flyovers of several cities under its United We Fly banner,
see here. In some cases the routes and participating aircraft are vague. Sentimental Journey and Maid in the Shade, which happen to be touring in Utah, have announced a specific 4th of July flight route out of St. George.
https://www.azcaf.org/location/st-georg ... ap-section Lyon Air Museum C-47 to participate in a flyover of Buena Park, Orange, and La Habra, joined by a couple of Marchetti 260s, I presume from that air combat experience company also located at John Wayne.
A P-51 is scheduled to take part in a military flyover over the North Carolina and South Carolina beaches, but I don't know which P-51.
Six DC-3/C-47s from several organizations including CAF and Palm Springs Air Museum, are to fly around Lake Tahoe fro Truckee Tahoe airport, accompanied by T-6s and/or T-28s.
