I had met Red Jensen a couple of times when my father was buying parts from him.

We attended the auction and I did take pictures, but they are B&W and I will have to find the negatives and scan them.
I also have the auction notice and listing somewhere that I'll scan when I find it, too.

I found the auction listing, copied it, cleaned it up some and scanned it.

Here is a jpg of the page with the actual aircraft, along with some of my fathers notes.

It appears from his note that Lon's father may have thought that Mr. Crocker paid too much! :o

Around 1977~78 on one of our visits to "Jensen Field" Red offered my dad and me both of the TBM's - I was still pretty young, but Red was saying 'the other one for your son' .
- two TBM's, tanked but never slurried
- original bomb bay doors
- claimed they both got new engines when they were converted
- would install new tires on both
plus
- another set of tires each
- two new engines still in the can

$12,000.
Now you could buy a really nice house in Sacramento for that back then.
