Tulio, as a kid, they used to serve hot dogs directly from inside the plane.

It is now located in a pet shop at Place Versaille displayed as a crashed jungle AC.

Right near home and you can watch the airport activity, including the occasional warbird from the dining area windows.

My family from Montreal and I, went on an aimless drive a Saturday, September 2001, North of Montreal, and happened to to find the airplane by happenstance. The restaurant showed signs of having been closed for a while, and the airplane was showing the ravages of age and element exposure.

Mrs. Margarita Blay, from Puerto Rico, took the first two photos of the Ahrens 404 airplane remains being used as a restaurant, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She is the sister of my friend and former co-worker Luis Blay, and he was the motivating force behind an article I wrote in 1998 on the failed development of the Ahrens 404.

Interesting aircraft Tulio! Never heard of it before. The prototype was built near me in Oxnard.

The in-flight shot appears to be the fist production example built in Puerto Rico, not actually the prototype.

Looks like a decent concept. Too bad it didn't pan out.

A guy named Joe Prieto was the guy in charge of the molds and making the fiberglass aircraft. Not sure what happened to all that stuff.

It was a long time ago, when I saw the P-51 fiberglass fuselage moldings, at the Sevierville TN. airport, outside of their aviation museum.

I don't know who owned them... In town, there was a fiberglass P-51 atop a pole, on the main street drag.

Westpac, then in Rialto, CA had a P-51 mold. Since they restored the Sevierville Thunderbolts, I'm guessing that was the source.
